Kex Group encompasses 8 brands and over 300 restaurants in Kazakhstan. The goal was to boost sales by enabling online orders while avoiding the cost of developing multiple apps.
I designed a single mobile app that allows customers to order food from all 8 brands for takeout or in advance, reducing wait times at the restaurant

The results of my research suggested that there were
several types of users with diverse needs. The accumulation
of the different insights and common patterns helped me create two personas which are the manifestation of that data in a character

Why use the app when I can order offline?
Due to technical and business constraints, delivery wasn't an option for the MVP. It might seem unnecessary to use an app when you can order in-person at the restaurant. To address this, we highlighted the app's value: earning bonuses with each order and saving time by ordering in advance

The food ordering process is streamlined and user-friendly, ensuring a seamless experience from browsing the menu to completing the payment

Order Tracking

Users can efficiently monitor their meal preparation process and receive accurate time estimates for order completion

Order Evaluation

The order evaluation screens within the app offer users a seamless way to rate and provide feedback on their recent dining experiences. With a clean, user-friendly interface, users can quickly submit ratings, write reviews, and share their satisfaction levels, ensuring continuous improvement and customer satisfaction

Key Lesson

While business goals are important, always prioritize the user experience. In this project, the stakeholders focused heavily on upselling, sometimes at the expense of user needs. Balancing business objectives with user satisfaction is crucial for creating a successful product
