Optima Bank, a company with a 30-year history, has been a leader
in the fintech industry for years. However, the bank has been losing ground
in recent years and lacked a mobile banking solution for B2B clients.

I designed the MVP, following modern visual language while preserving
a familiar UX logic on the web version to avoid disrupting user habits.

Team: I was the sole designer for the mobile platform.

My role was to design the product from scratch

and develop a consistent and adaptive design system.

and engaged in design sprints, user research and workshops.

Within three days of release on the App Store, there were 89 downloads and 2,200 views,

despite no official announcement or marketing. 5 months after release there are 5K+ users

Challenges & Lessons

Challenges & Lessons

We faced a tight deadline and a small team, with a goal to release

the app in five months. Ultimately, we completed it in six months.

Key lessons from this experience include:

  • Testing design solutions early and with more people yields better results.

  • Collaborating closely with other departments, such as the marketing team,

is crucial for consistent branding.

  • Just because a solution exists in the market doesn’t mean it will work effectively.

  • Reflecting on the project, I see areas for improvement, which I am currently addressing by adding new features and refining the design. In design, there is always room for enhancement 😊
